So, Banksy has been busy over in Utah over the last few days. He delivered the following message relating to his film release
Ladies and gentlemen, and publicists:
Trying to make a movie which truly conveys the raw thrill and expressive power of art is very difficult. So we haven’t bothered. Instead, this is simply an everyday tale of life, longing, and mindless vandalism. Everything you are about to see is true, especially the bit where we all lie.
Thanks for coming, please don’t give away the ending on Twitter. And please, don’t try copying any of this stuff at home, wait until you get to work.
Whilst he was busy doing that Team Robbo was busy at war!

It used to say I don’t believe in Global Warming, Team Robbo have changed it to I don’t believe in war with a tag line of “its too late for that sonny! Team Robbo”

Banksy le Rat – a poke at the fact that banksy took his original inspirations from one of the forefathers of stencil art (and now friend) Blek le Rat.

Thanks to ArrestedMotion for the scoop on the new Robbo works.
If you’re in the London area you might want to catch the Victoria & Albert Museum’ latest exhibition which is the forgeries of the now famous Shaun Greenhalgh’s and other famous forgers. In amongst the pieces are apparently some Banksy fakes however I’ve not been able to find any images. If you do go please get in touch.

Banksy seems to be on a roll in Utah at the moment defacing things left right and centre. Wonder if Team Robbo will be making a guest appearance?

I missed this as I’ve had a couple of days of by ArrestedMotion and Vandalog, as always, were on the ball! The first piece was spotted at Park City, Utah and the other not far away I presume.
This has added to the rumors that Banksy is to ahve a film shown during the Spotlight Surprise” called Exit Through The Gift Shop,” the title of a famous piece from his recent Bristol Museum show.

This story has been picked up by major press all over the world since the original spottings.
I love Banksy’s work, I love graffiti and I love art. Whilst primarily this blog is about Banksy as a kind of fan site I have covered imitators and have loved the little beef with Robbo of late as it gives me something to write about on the quiet, cold and dark British nights.
I spotted over at I love Graffiti they’ve got a little interview with Robbo, which in it, he discussed the recent Banksy incidents:
Beside of the matter of principle, do you consider your conflict with Banksy as “war” or “fun”?
Robbo: I consider it fun, I’m playing him at his own game and winning. When i was younger i would have looked at the situation differently and i would have been really PISSED and taken out all of bnksys work with no respect.
You should definitely head over there and check out the full interview.
Already picked up by quite a few other sites but it seems Robbo has struck again. I thought he’d have been happy as he had the last laugh.
Remember this piece Banksy put up recently?

Well Team Robbo have just tagged it with a message of “Did you think it was over?”

Have to admit, even as a Banksy fan, I’m enjoying the Eastenders like drama of the graffiti world
. Check our the original Banksy Vs. Robbo post if you have no idea what I’m going on about.
Marie wrote in asking if Banksy was having any exhibitions during 2010.
Whilst I’ve heard of none do any of the readers know of any exhibitions in 2010 that will be shwing any Banksy pieces?
